How to Maintain a Vibrating Screen?

The vibrating screen is the core screening equipment in sand, aggregate and mining crushing production lines. Proper and regular maintenance can extend equipment service life, reduce downtime failures and ensure efficient operation of the whole crushing plant. Many customers source equipment from reliable vibrating screen factory, and the factory can also provide complete maintenance guidance to help customers carry out daily equipment upkeep.

1. Daily Inspection & Maintenance

Basic checks are required before and after each startup. Check if the screen mesh is damaged or loose, inspect whether fastener bolts get loose. Listen for abnormal operating noise and observe whether the screen runs stably. Clear accumulated materials on the screen surface in time to avoid blocked screen holes and excessive abrasion of the screen mesh caused by long-term material buildup.

2. Maintenance of Vibrating Motor and Exciter

The excitation component serves as the power core of the vibrating screen. Regularly check the lubricant level and quality, and replace grease on schedule. Monitor bearing temperature to ensure it stays within the standard range, and check the exciter for oil leakage. Never start the machine with materials loaded, to reduce impact load on excitation parts and prevent bearing damage.

3. Inspection of Elastic Support Components

Springs and rubber damping blocks are used for vibration isolation. Periodically check for cracks, aging and deformation. Damaged damping parts will lead to abnormal shaking of the machine body and poor screening performance. Replace damaged damping components as a complete set once faults occur; replacing a single piece alone is not allowed.

4. Maintenance of Screen Mesh and Seals

Screen mesh is a wearing part. Check its abrasion regularly according to material hardness and replace it when severely worn. Check whether sealing strips are aging and causing material leakage, to prevent dust escape and material cross-grade, and guarantee classification accuracy of finished aggregates.

5. Maintenance for Long-term Shutdown

Before long-term shutdown, thoroughly clean residual stones and dust inside the machine, and apply anti-rust treatment for bearings and fasteners. Store the equipment in a dry and ventilated place, and perform short trial runs periodically to avoid component rust and jamming.

6. Maintenance Precautions

All inspection and maintenance work must be carried out after machine shutdown and power cut. Follow maintenance cycles specified in the equipment manual and use original spare parts preferentially. In case of complex faults, you can contact your cooperating vibrating screen factory for professional technical support to reduce operation risks.
