In recent years, Fuzhou has continuously promoted urban renewal, old community renovation, municipal road upgrading, old urban demolition and reconstruction, and urban-rural infrastructure construction. As urban development accelerates, massive amounts of construction waste including concrete lumps, bricks, tiles, stone scraps, decoration waste, engineering muck and demolition residues have been produced. The random stacking, open landfill and unrestricted dumping of large quantities of construction waste not only cause a range of pollution problems concerning soil, water, air and ecology, but also lead to severe waste of recyclable resources. This seriously restricts the progress of ecological civilization construction, urban environmental improvement and green low-carbon high-quality development in Fuzhou.

To effectively address the disorderly disposal of construction waste, improve the regional ecological environment, and meet policy requirements for the reduction, harmless treatment and resource utilization of construction waste, this project builds a 100 tons per hour comprehensive production line for construction waste recycling. It realizes standardized centralized disposal of demolition waste, construction residues, decoration garbage and engineering waste materials in urban Fuzhou. Adopting an integrated process of closed sorting, crushing and screening, iron removal and recovery, and environmental dust suppression, the production line is equipped with supporting environmental facilities such as spray dust reduction, closed silos, wastewater circulation and noise control. The whole process adopts green and clean production, effectively curbing secondary pollution such as dust, leachate and noise, and fundamentally solving environmental pollution caused by construction waste at the source.

The project processes waste concrete, bricks and stones into recycled building materials including recycled sand and gravel aggregates, recycled roadbed fillers and recycled permeable materials. These products are locally reused in urban construction projects in Fuzhou, such as municipal road backfilling, site hardening, landscape greening and supporting infrastructure projects, forming a closed-loop resource utilization system of construction waste generation — standardized collection and transportation — centralized disposal — recycling and reuse — urban application. The project turns construction waste into reusable resources and saves natural mineral resources. It also reduces the urban environmental carrying pressure and improves the living environment. It helps Fuzhou build an ecologically livable, green, low-carbon and modern civilized city, and promotes coordinated and sustainable development between urban construction and ecological environmental protection.
